Sandwich Day 23 - February 12, 2008

I want to take a minute to reflect on the giving hearts like these mentioned above and others that have jumped in to selflessly GIVE. This is what God is all about - it is what we are called to do. My hope and faith has been in such need of restoration and being a part of the love that has reached out to those in need has benefited me more than I can explain. So I guess I will continue to say thank you...even though it just doesn't seem like enough... that's another thing that I have learned...you just can't give enough...or love enough...kind of exasperating but worth the challenge.

The Cove:
Mary - Teresa - Hopper - Susie - Donny - Manson - Taz (working the corner, never came over to see us)

We were met with bad news. The police has given our friends 48 hours to move out. Jack and Vinny were already out looking for a new place to go. Everyone was waiting for us then ready to get started for the next move. This is the way life goes for them. There has been internal strife and the group will be splitting up and going separate ways. As I write, I am not even sure if we will have church at the Cove this Sunday. They have Rick's number but so far they have not called. I will drive by today (Friday) and get an update. I trust that God is working His plan. Things change...but God doesn't...so I will continue to trust. It may be time to focus on the countless others that need a touch from God. So my prayer today is that we will be able to stay in touch with the relationships that have been formed and to look forward to the new ones ahead.
