Church at the Cove : January 27, 2008

Wow!!!!! Sometimes you jump so much you cannot eat and you are just running around being a servant for the Lord …this was one of these days. Andy and the family went to church at Christ the Rock. At 11:20 pm Greg arrived with his family and dropped them off and we took off to get the Cove folks. I did not know how many people were going to be there but God was so good. I saw a lot of people. Tazz and Hooper could not come as they had to move some things from the old camp to the new camp.

Manson noticed that our tire was flat but we decided to go anyway and take care of it later. It was real flat too! The devil was just trying to stop us but it did not work. We all got there and it was dinner time. Suzie, Jack, Mary, Manson, Rabbit, Donny and Teressa all came. Jack and Mary told me they knew this was meant to be because the day before around 5 pm they had just made 5 dollars and they would not be able to come if they did not make more. Jack sent Suzie home because she did not feel well. He was standing there and a man come up to him and said that God had told him to give him 20 dollars. Wow!!! I can see God there working so much!! They all acted different in this new environment. Suzie and Jack were very content to be with each other. Teressa was there with a hurt foot and seemed to enjoy herself. Donny came in with a desire to praise the Lord…straight to the door… in the door and was waiting for the praise time. He sat away from everyone as if to meditate and feel the presence of the Lord. Rabbit came in and really seemed to get into some conversations with people. He was there to to see if he could find one of his family members. Rabbit gave Andy a name of Runner because he runs to help people. Andy was so excited about that. He just loves them so much. My daughter (Tatum) was pulled out of her comfort zone with this whole thing but Rabbit kept making Tatum feel good about helping him. We found Rabbit’s son and sent him a my space invite. I hope it works, Rabbit was so excited. Mary seemed a little nervous about the people but I think when she saw that it was not crowded she was OK and seemed to be an overseer of Manson. Manson sat outside most of the time. He still could hear everything and seemed very good around people. Suzie and Jack got to walk around and see the cabins and Suzie was crying. I think Jack really wants to take care of Suzie and get off the streets. I saw hearts break and tears fall for the love of God. I saw people come out of their shells to help and love through their own love language. God is good and he was shining this Sunday at the Church of Christ. Michael Schroeder was great with everyone and just embraced the idea of helping. He gave a bunch of CD's to Manson and Mary. He was doing good work for the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 2
4 For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.5 Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money!6 As for human praise, we have never sought it from you or anyone else.
7 As apostles of Christ we certainly had a right to make some demands of you, but instead we were like children* among you. Or we were like a mother feeding and caring for her own children.8 We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God's Good News but our own lives, too.
