The Cove:
The rain had just past and there was no one at the Cove. We circled around and just went to the camp. John M. was there unloading a couple of boxes of food. It's always good to run into him. He is a faithful servant who has many crowns waiting for him. We joined him as we walked the path into the wooded area where all of the tents are...yelling "Incoming". Here comes Bingo the dog barking at us which makes us stop until she gives us permission to continue. Then I hear the others identifying us - saying things like...It's Rick, John and there's Vicki. Kinda like being privey to a secret club. I was prophesied over about a year ago and I was told that I would be going where allot of people will never go. Well - mark one up for the prophet! Everyone is there except Vinny and Rabbit. Jack is doing so good. Staying off the booze...reading his Bible...God is changing him right before all of the others. I pray they all take his lead. Hopper has fun as he models the new jeans given to him from last week...asking if they make his butt look big. Mary is cooking stew on the new camp stove that Jack got for his birthday. Manson is having a hard time. He needs to get to the hospital to get medication so Rick agrees for us to give him a ride. We say our good byes and get our hugs and thanks from everyone and off we go with Manson to the hospital. Manson is in the back seat and starts crying. Rick asks him what is wrong and the reply is..."I'm not use to being loved". This was one of those moments that I file away. The Bible says that God is love - to love your neighbor - love conquers all - above all commandments, love is over all. As long as Satan keeps strife amongst us and we allow it to keep us divided and in discord – we stay separted from God. How cool it would be for everyone in this world all at the same time to experience this moment with Manson. We get to the hospital and Rick takes Manson in to make sure that he gets taken care of.
The Edge:
We see Lefty on the corner. We are running short of time so we gave him the remaining lunches. He tells us that he will be moving on soon. Rick ask him if he is going to go see family and the reply is..."Why would I go to see family...you are my family". It's like God blessed us twice in one day with reminders of the love and hope this world is in such need of.
